And.....the essay is.....printed! Done and printed! Yaaaay.
But wait, you ask, is it any good?
...Well. Never promised that. Stupid essay.
Anyway, other than that, what else is new? Uh...my mom apparently cleaned/re-arranged my room during the day, so when I got home I spent an hour putting it back to the way I like it...I mean, it's nice and all to have someone clean your room for you, but still...I have certain things in there that I want in specific places, and some stuff that I deem "off-limits" to anyone who isn't me. A lot of things got moved. Pretty sure me mum uses the cleaning excuse just to move things around where I'll never find them again... :P :)
Before I went home and cleaned my room, I spent 2 hours going over my Accounting problem set with a friend and a friend of a friend. Think we've got it sorted out, now; gotta make a couple of changes here and there, but I think I'm in good shape...well, in terms of this problem set, anyway. Stupid problem set.
The way home on the subway, after going over my Accounting and before re-cleaning my room, was super-crowded, as can be expected because it was around 4:30pm. The subway tends to get busy once it gets past 2:30pm... Oh, and this morning, the train I was on had some problems with its doors, so the whole trainload of people got out at Christie station after several delays... and then whe whole de-boarded trainload of people tried to get on again all at once when the next train arrived.... Was really fun, I tell you... For real... Fun on the subway. Riiiiight. Stupid subway.
Anyway, I'm either gonna go fix up my Accounting problem set, go to sleep, waste time that I don't have, or read my essay over. Again. So ta for now!
Oh, one more thing -- who's gonna be around on Dec. 17 and is anyone watching the movie with me? :)
Thought I'd answer some questions from The Friday Five...it not being a Friday today and these being last week's questions, these answers are a week and 2 days late, but oh well. Here goes.
1. Using one adjective, describe your current living space. Familiar.
2. Using two adjectives, describe your current employer. Busy. Ukrainian.
3. Using three adjectives, describe your favorite hobby/pasttime. Time-consuming. Relaxing. Interesting.
4. Using four adjectives, describe your typical day. Busy. Educational. Long. Short.
5. Using five adjectives, describe your ideal life. Happy. Fulfilling. Peaceful. Unlonely. Amazing.
Hmm, though, I think I've been working too long on this essay, because typing "amazing" just now, I typed "Amazons" instead, by accident. I enjoyed reading Swallows & Amazons in the end, but I'd rather not have to write an essay on it...
I can't believe the Pirates of the Caribbean DVD is coming out in 9 days. It feels like it was only yesterday that I last saw it at the theater, and now, poof! here it comes. DVDs are so quick these days. I mean, I'm still on a high from watching this movie (the second time I went was the beginning of September, I think) and it's already coming out. Not that I mind, of course, but I haven't even had the chance to forget what I like so much about the movie... Well, that's okay. Bring it on, I say. :)
Hmm. At some point I have to figure out what people want for Christmas. Anyone I've asked so far has either said "I don't know", or "I don't really want anything". Which may or may not be true, depending, but still not helpful either way. :) Please, people, don't make me think more than I have to... ;) J/k.
Anyway, got to get back to this blasted essay. I think I'm about half done now, but I've been working at it all weekend and it isn't getting written as quickly as it should be. Hardly know why... Though time passes quickly no matter what you're doing or how much fun you are or are not having, I've noticed. Arrgh. All I know is that it's taking forever and it's due Thursday and I can't use the extension because right after this essay is due I have a few tests closely followed by exams to worry about. Bleedin' hell.
Today in Macroeconomics class, my prof said, "The first rule of investment is...", and I started chuckling 'cause it reminded me of Fight Club. Hehe. Hey, it's Macro class; I've gotta make my own fun... ;)
(p.s. Arrrrrgh! My computer hates me. And I'm not exactly feelin' a lot of love for it either. :P)
1. And nine days since your last posting, no change in mood or additions to chatbox. You really ARE turning into me, aren't you? Well, now it's been 14 days, and look! New post, mood's been changed, and I've posted in the shoutbox. :) So I guess I'm not turning into you, after all?
2. Where is the circle of Willis? The circle of WHOis? *Does some speedy research* Ah, it's a vascular
structure located on the floor of the cranial cavity. Also, Circle of Willis is a music group from Australia, apparently.
3. Could you take a vacation to the Islets of Langerhans? What's with the brain-teasers? *Rubs forehead wearily* I've got a midterm on Wednesday, you know. ;) Nah, I like these. :) *researches....then sputters* You...you're asking me if I could vacation in an area of the pancreas? For God's sake... SOMEone around here has been studying too much, hmm? ;)
4. WHY IS MY PRINTER MALFUNCTIONING?? Maybe it's related to mine. They're conspiring, I tell ya...conspiring!!
5. What's the best part of waking up? Well, it's clearly not Folgers in my cup, since I'm not a coffee girl. :) Hmm, let's see...good part of waking up....good part...... I'm drawing a blank. Sleep is good. I should get more of it, though. What's the best part of waking up for you?
6. Why did I spend such a good part of yesterday watching episodes of Scrubs off RezX? Er...probably because you're a procrastinator like I am? Though my computer is soooo slow these days. Sigh. I've never watched Scrubs, but I've got plenty of other stuff to distract me anyway...
7. What does HOG stand for and why do engineers feel obliged to write it everywhere on campus? Um...I don't know. The engineers on my campus don't write that anywhere. Let's see...some unlikely but possible meanings that come to mind: "house of glory" (the only thing that came up on Google), "hand of God", "heir of Gondor", "he's overly goofy", "hello or goodbye", and "hands off...geez!"
8. No, seriously, where ARE you these days?? Marooned on a godforsaken spit of land with nought but a pistol with one shot and a stash of rum? *coughs* Er...what I meant to say was I've been studying for midterms. Right. I'm sure that's what I meant...
